Ashcroft Hall blog 1

As promised I am uploading photos of my new Ashcroft Hall. It is huge. My workshop is tidy and ready for it and my grandaughter loves it and wants it painted pink!!
It will be an impressive mansion which needs a theme.
Could it be a wedding,a ball, a dinner party etc. it will be set in edwardian times.

Also ideas in colour of outside. I am thinking white with black door and balconies?

Hi everyone.

I have spent the last two days setting up a cheap website to use instead of this blog, but then I read the reviews and they ere all terrible. So I have cancelled it. Now I have to master this blog page. I'm not the most technically minded, usually leaving it to my kids!

I have uploaded the above random photo of my latest dolls house to see if I could do the upload.............success.

Lesley's dolls house/mini journal

At last I took delivery of Ashcroft Hall from 'The Dolls House Builder'. It was worth the wait. It is huge. My little dog could live in it!
I haven't taken a picture yet but will post one over the weekend.
However in the meantime I am going to post pictures of my nearly finished Edwardian Haberdashery. I loved making this although the making of the shoe boxes etc was quite time consuming. I taught myself to make hats, gloves, shoes, boxes and other miniatures. It is so satisfying to do these yourself rather than buy ready made.
The reason I have started making miniatures and not just houses is the impending arrival of the mansion. I really do want to make a success of this. And to do this will take a lot of money,so the more I can make myself the better.
So watch this blog because I am sure I will be asking all you miniaturist's for advice.
